"Medicine is not only a science; it is also an art. It does not consist of compounding pills and plasters; it deals with the very processes of life, which must be understood before they may be guided."  ~Paracelsus
Immediately following the tragedy of 9-11, Dr. Peritz volunteered at St. Vincent's Hospital Ear Acupuncture Clinic, treating doctors, nurses and individuals, from the surrounding communities, directly impacted by the day’s events. He also acted as an on-site coordinator in Ground Zero, on behalf of the Institute of Swedish Massage, treating the fire fighters, police officers and ironworkers involved with the rescue and recovery.
